Corrections Officer

• Observe staff conduct and behavior, take corrective action/measures, report infractions, train, recommend disciplinary actions, instruct staff on proper procedures and conduct performance reviews.
• Prepare work schedules, assign and/or adjust workload in a fair manner.
• Enforce departmental rules and regulations.
• File reports of jail activities, critical decisions and remedies attained to maintain security and an assemblance of order.
• Conduct inspections of all jail areas, including living areas and jail structure, and respond to Jail Emergencies and Incidents as they occur.

Led and managed a base law enforcement team of over 15 personnel resulting in the safety and security of over 1,000 civilian and military members.
• Supervised the inventory, safe handling, and training of small and long arm weaponry for over 5 personnel at a given time.
• Conducted and supervised daily vehicle inspections on over 5 vehicles with strict attention to detail.
• Oversaw security teams at 4 base entry control points ensuring the safety and security of base personnel.
• Facilitated monthly room inspections of Army personnel in accordance with Army regulations.
• Managed the training and personal records of over 100 personnel ensuring documents were up to date to Army standards.
